Oklahoma Bobwhite, Scaled Quail & Pheasant Hunts

Truly wild birds, exceptional pointing dogs, rotating properties and intentionally limited hunting pressure.

A wild scaled quail in hand on the Oklahoma Panhandle property

Western & Northwestern Oklahoma · Upland Birds

Three wild species, one Oklahoma trip

We hunt truly wild bobwhite quail, scaled quail (also called blue quail — the same bird) and pheasant across two private properties: 47,000 acres in the Oklahoma Panhandle and 16,000 acres in Northwest Oklahoma. No planted birds, no manufactured shooting and no self-guided access.

We are not a high-volume upland operation. We intentionally limit the private groups we accept so we can protect our best ground, rotate pressure and give every group the kind of hunt we want our name attached to.

  • 100% wild birds
  • Exceptional dog work
  • Rotating properties
  • Limited pressure
  • Bring your own dogs

The Country

Habitat we hunt

Rolling native grasslands, sage flats, plum thickets, brushy draws, creek bottoms, CRP, shelterbelts and agricultural edges.

Each of those holds birds under different conditions, and that variety is what lets us rotate ground, rest what needs resting and keep putting fresh dogs down on fresh coveys instead of tying your group to one ranch.

The Birds

What you can expect

  • Bobwhite quail — both properties
  • Scaled quail (blue quail) — Panhandle property only
  • Pheasant — both properties

The Panhandle property is where a three-species opportunity is on the table. We do not promise all three species, or limits, on any hunt. Species availability and harvest depend on weather, scouting, bird movement and conditions.

Upland Management

Five-quail cap

We use a five-quail-per-hunter cap during each half day. Once the cap is reached we stop taking quail and focus on whichever available species the group is still looking to pursue.

We track covey observations, harvest and hunting pressure through the season. If ground needs rest, we rest it.
